Real-time sign language translation

Speak. The avatar signs.

SignBridge turns spoken language into sign language, performed live by a photorealistic avatar. Speech in, signing out, within seconds. Built for deaf users first, and for the organizations that serve them.

Spoken

“Where is the hospital?”

ASL grammar

HOSPITALWHERE

Signed

Performed by a MetaHuman avatar with natural transitions

How it works

From voice to signing in three steps

The whole pipeline runs in real time. You speak into your phone; the avatar on screen signs the sentence back in American Sign Language.

Listen

The app detects speech on the device itself and cuts clean utterances the moment you finish a sentence. No push-to-talk gymnastics, no waiting.

Translate

The sentence is translated into real ASL grammar, not word-for-word English, and matched to professionally captured signing motion.

Perform

A photorealistic MetaHuman avatar performs the sequence with smooth sign-to-sign transitions, driven by professional full-body motion capture.

Technology

Built like a product, not a demo

Every layer was chosen for accuracy, privacy, and reliability in settings where communication cannot fail.

Motion capture

Studio-grade signing data

Every sign is recorded in a professional motion-capture studio with full-body and facial capture, not webcam approximations. Deaf linguists validate accuracy throughout.

Language

Real ASL grammar

Sign languages have their own grammar. SignBridge translates into it rather than signing English word order, so the output reads naturally to deaf viewers.

Privacy

Your audio stays on our infrastructure

Audio is processed entirely on our own infrastructure. No third-party AI vendors sit in the loop, which matters for healthcare, legal, and enterprise settings.

Rendering

Unreal Engine 5 MetaHuman

The avatar is a photorealistic MetaHuman rendered in Unreal Engine 5, ready for mobile today and for kiosks, healthcare systems, and embedded deployments next.

No dead ends

Every sentence gets signed. Every time.

When a word has no sign in the vocabulary yet, such as a name, a place, or a rare term, the avatar fingerspells it letter by letter, exactly as a human signer would. The system never fails silently and never invents a sign that does not exist.

Spoken “My name is Petra”
Signed MY-NAME-IS P E T R A

Roadmap

Two directions, one platform

Translation is a two-way problem. SignBridge starts with producing sign language, then adds reading it.

Phase 1 · In development

Speech → Sign

  • Real-time speech and text to sign language animation
  • American Sign Language first; French (LSF) and German (DGS) sign languages to follow
  • iOS app with a photorealistic MetaHuman avatar
Phase 2 · Planned

Sign → Speech & Text

  • The inverse direction: reading signed input and translating it to text or audio
  • Full two-way conversations between deaf and hearing people
  • Aimed at B2B: healthcare, public services, enterprise
